We welcome Hertfordshire based figurative artist Mark Clark to our gallery with his current Collection. The human form is the central inspiration for Mark, an artist renowned for his superb technique and draftsman ship skills. His work focuses on two main themes; the female figure and the second passion people from his regular visit and travels around India. Mark is also a regular feature for the past twenty years at the Royal Academy exhibitions, his collection includes his original figurative nudes in the medium of oil paintings, graphite life drawings and etchings.
Mark Clark was educated at the St Albans College of Art and Design, Loughborough College of Art and Design, followed by postgraduate study at the Royal Academy Schools. Mark specialises in etchings and drawings of the human figure. He has had many solo shows all in the London area. In 1984 & 1985 he won the Windsor & Newton Award for Drawing Awarded at the Royal academy Schools.
He travels often throughout India and draws inspiration from the colour and vibrancy of the people he meets. Mark’s work is frequently exhibited in London and throughout the UK, both in solo and group shows. He is rare among artists in having his work selected for the Royal Academy Summer exhibition every year for the past 19 years and is one of the leading artists in sales of the last few years.
Mark was invited to include his work in the 2001 London Original Print Fair special exhibition, ‘The Nude’, alongside prints by Rembrandt, Degas, Picasso, Matisse, Hockney, Blake and Freud, among others. Mark has had his prints included in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions since 1984 and has been the top selling artist from 1999 every year since.

His original paintings of female nudes including drawings and etchings have been admired and collected by numerous national and International art lovers and collectors. Mark works exclusively with limited galleries in the UK, to exhibit his work to satisfy the increasing demand for his works.
He specializes in Figurative work, with an added passion for the Indian subcontinent , where he regularly visit in his work capturing the exotic Landscape, its people with its colourful and rich culture.
